I had an emergency flat tire and even though the schedule was very busy they managed to get me in. They were able to save my tire, saving me a lot of money. Often times, unfortunately, women get taken advantage of when it comes to cars and mechanical things. These guys were very trustworthy and honest I definitely recommend!!

We had a great experience with Pep Boys in Greenville, SC. Our battery died and Advance tested and said it was an alternator problem, which was going to be a pain for us being out of town and needing to get home in a timely fashion, Brian was great, tested the battery and said the battery was bad and they need to replace it then test the alternator. That worried us but fortunately it was only the battery. It’s nice to see a honest shop not doing any upsell esp to a female who was thinking it was the alternator. Kudos to this shop, the manager and the technician. Brian our contact was awesome, very friendly, personable and caring for our situation, Many thanks and much appreciation. My only regret is I forgot to leave the technician a nice tip. How can I do that now? THANKS O MUCH! 5 stars!!!!

From start to finish the most convenient car repair i have ever had. They towed my car within an hour. Diagnosed my car. Called me to confirm what I wanted them to do and had it done within 24 hours. Truly amazing.

This shop did a great job and didn’t take advantage of me. I noticed a VERY bad metal grinding sound at the end of my 5 hour drive to Greenville (not just the brake pad wear indicator). Of course it was Friday at 5 pm and we had planned to use the car to help with a move in & then drive back home. I called this Pep Boys and they scheduled me for 8:30 am Saturday morning. We discussed the problems and it was clear that the brake rotors and pads would need to be replaced and possibly the calipers if they had locked up. They called the next morning & said the calipers were actually fine. They replaced the pads & rotors and had me on my way by 11 a.m. and the car feels great!! As a side note, I am a female with a masters in engineering. I never mentioned my background because I was always treated with honesty and respect. There was actually a very knowledgeable and helpful woman at the front desk who was very attentive to our stress and time crunch on fixing the car. Overall, I had a great experience here. The initial inspection was honest and the work was well done in a very timely manner!

Be prepared for the sales pitches you WILL be bombarded with. Are the Pep Boys "Sales Team" used car salesmen want-a-be's? Everyone of them, from the ones behind the registers, to the "mechanics" doing the service work, will try to hit you with their own version of a sales pitch. They will tell you "everything under the sun" you need to have replaced on your immaculate and mechanically well maintained vehicle. I wondered to myself, "Are those poor souls just trying to survive on a commission based job at an automotive repair chain?" or, "Is Corporate demanding every employee attempt to drain the life savings out of "unsuspecting elderly"women patrons?" 🧐 If you listen to them you will have 4 brand new tires, when the ones you have are not old and have plenty of tread, because "Corporate won't allow us to replace anything less than a full set on an AWD vehicle". The "mechanic" then justified his statement with, "Well it must have been a 'mom and pop shop' that replaced my $250 tire last year. 🙄 (I guess I need to let the reputable chain that took care of my tires last year know that they are being referred to as a 'mom and pop shop' 😏) Oh... and of course they "just wanted to let
